🎓 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the following qualification and age requirements as of the last date of application (21/08/2026):
1. Educational Qualifications:
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields from a recognized University or Institute:
- Commerce (B.Com)
- Business Administration (BBA)
- Computer Application (BCA)
- Science with Mathematics or Statistics (B.Sc)
- Arts with Statistics, Economics, or Mathematics (B.A)
- Computer Knowledge: Must possess basic knowledge of computer applications as per the Gujarat Civil Services Rules, 1967.
- Language Skills: Adequate knowledge of Hindi, Gujarati, or both.
- Important Note: Candidates holding a B.Sc. (CA & IT) or M.Sc. (CA & IT) degree are explicitly not eligible for this post. Candidates awaiting their final year/semester results are eligible to apply for the preliminary round provided they qualify by the required timeline.

📝 Selection Process & Exam Pattern
The selection process is divided into two distinct competitive phases:
Stage 1: Preliminary Examination (MCQ-Based Screening)
- Format: Objective type multiple-choice questions.
- Total Marks: 150 Marks
- Duration: 2 Hours
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect response.
- Qualifying Cut-off: Minimum 40% marks are mandatory to be considered for the next stage.
- Note: The Prelims are purely screening-based; marks scored here will not be calculated toward the final merit list.
Stage 2: Main Examination (Descriptive Type)
Candidates equal to approximately 7 times the vacancy count will be shortlisted for the Mains.
- Paper 1 (Languages): Gujarati Language and English Language (Descriptive) – 100 Marks (3 Hours)
- Paper 2 (Core Domain): Accountancy, Auditing, and relevant financial subjects (Descriptive) – 100 Marks (3 Hours)
- Qualifying Cut-off: Minimum 40% marks in each paper.
- Final Merit: The final selection list will be drawn solely from the performance/marks scored in the Main Examination.
